Man robbed while girlfriend screams for help in vicious park attack

Police are appealing for information after a man was robbed whilst his girlfriend was held back in a park in Huddersfield on Friday night.
The 26-year-old man was walking with his girlfriend along Park Drive South at the back of Greenhead Park around 11.05pm when he was grabbed around the neck from behind by one of three males.
Another held back his partner while the other two males knocked him to ground and continued to punch and kick him before searching his pockets.
The victim's girlfriend screamed for help and the suspects stopped and walked off along Park Drive South towards the town centre.
The victim found his wallet, glasses and keys nearby but £20 had been stolen.
He received cuts to his cheek and hand and grazes to his elbows.
The suspects were described as Asian, of average height and build, and were wearing dark hooded tops or tracksuits and had their faces covered.
This was clearly a frightening experience for the victim and his girlfriend and we would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information that could assist the investigation.
