Police are hunting a man after the attempted abduction of a teenage girl as she made her way home from college near Westminster.
The suspect grabbed the 17-year-old by her wrists and tried to drag her into a car, before putting his mouth on her cheek.
A passer-by intervened, forcing the suspect to jump back into his car and drive away from the scene in Churchill Gardens, Pimlico.
The suspect is described as a male of middle eastern appearance, around 30-years-old, 6ft tall and of large build.
He was wearing a dark hooded jumper and dark trousers. He had a full dark-coloured beard.
DC James Kapp, of Westminster CID, said: 'This incident left the victim extremely shocked and upset, and we need to identify the suspect as soon as possible.
'We would particularly like to speak to the member of the public who intervened, and anyone else who may have witnessed this incident.'
