Terror suspect 'fled in burka'

TERROR suspect Yassin Omar was tracked to Birmingham wearing a burka, the 21/7 trial heard yesterday.
Omar activated a new SIM card in his mobile the day after the alleged 2005 bungled suicide bomb attacks on London’s transport network.
Prosecutors say the plotters were trying at that time to clear the bomb factory flat in New Southgate, North London.
The mobile was used to make a call on that same afternoon.
Police were able to establish that Omar boarded a coach to Birmingham wearing a woman’s full-length burka and clutching a handbag, Woolwich Crown Court in South East London was told.
The court heard the six Africans made HUNDREDS of mobile calls to each other in the months before their campaign.
Many of those calls placed the alleged gang members in the same place at the same time.
But the contact stopped at 12.47pm on July 21, the time of the intended massacre.
Omar, 26, Adel Yahya, 24, Muktar Ibrahim, 28, Hussein Osman, 28, Ramzi Mohammed, 25, and Manfu Asiedu, 33, deny conspiracy to murder and cause explosions. The trial continues.
