Italy terror suspect held in UK

A 46-year-old man wanted in Italy for alleged terrorist offences was arrested today at his UK home, Scotland Yard said.

A European warrant issued for the arrest of Habib Ignaoua claims he helped arrange false documents for volunteers attending terror camps in Afghanistan.
Ignaoua, who was arrested in a raid on his home in Brownswood Road, Finsbury Park, north London, will appear in court this afternoon.

Scotland Yard said the operation was carried out by its extradition unit, in co-ordination with the Italian authorities.
The warrant alleges Ignaoua organised volunteers to undergo military training in Afghanistan with the use of false documentation between 1997 and 1999.
He will appear in custody at City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court later today, a spokesman said
