21 July plotter's fiancee jailed

Fardosa Abdullahi, the fiancee of 21 July bomb plotter Yassin Omar, has been jailed for helping him to escape dressed in her mother's burka.

Omar and three others attempted to detonate rucksack bombs on three Tube trains and a bus on 21 July 2005.
CCTV footage at Omar's trial showed the 6ft 2in man wearing the burka. He had also shaved his arms to look feminine and was carrying a white handbag.
Abdullahi, 20, admitted helping him escape and was jailed for three years.
Her conviction brings to an end the trials of the 16 people who either admitted or were convicted of charges connected to the attempted 21 July 2005 attacks on London's transport system.
Abdullahi is now pregnant and has a long history of mental illness, but Judge Paul Worsley rejected a plea that she should be spared jail.

He said: "The message must go out that this court will not go soft on those who assist terrorists even those who are young, vulnerable and under pressure, as you undoubtedly were."
Omar, 26, along with Muktar Ibrahim, 29, Ramzi Mohammed, 25, and Hussain Osman, 28, were jailed for life in July last year.
Among the other accomplices who were tried and convicted were Osman's wife Yeshi Girma who knew of the plot, and five men who provided the plotters with safe houses, passports, clothing and food.
