An asylum seeker from Afghanistan has appeared in court charged with a series of sex attacks in Nottingham.
Norooz Hameed Khan, formerly of Kimberley Street, Sneinton, spoke only to confirm his name and address at Nottingham Magistrates' Court yesterday.He had pleaded not guilty to four charges of sexual assault and one of actual bodily harm at a previous appearance.Khan has lived in Rotherham since he applied to become an asylum seeker in January 2008. He said he had fled the Taliban.Khan, 25, is accused of sexually assaulting four women, biting the cheek of one of them, in December 2006.He was remanded in custody and will reappear at the court on August 14.
