BRITAIN will overhaul its anti-terror plans to cope with a Mumbai-style atrocity, ministers revealed yesterday.
Home Secretary Jacqui Smith said the UK had to learn from the attacks.
Her comments reflect fears a copycat strike would devastate London.
She said: “We need to revise the work we do protecting crowded places. We will look carefully at the implications.”
She added reports some of the Mumbai terrorists were British had been “retracted” but the investigation was ongoing.
Meanwhile, Patrick Mercer, of the Commons’ anti-terror panel, said the UK was ill-equipped for a similar attack and the London Olympics would be a terror “magnet”.
