Muslim teenager charged with funding jihad terrorism

Where did Adeel Ulhaq learn his understanding of Islam? A Sutton man has appeared in court facing charges of financing terrorism.
Adeel Ulhaq, 19 of Westbourne Road is alleged to have been involved in fraudulent fundraising for Syrian aid.
He appeared before Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London on Wednesday and is due to appear at the Old Bailey later this month where he will answer to the charge under section 17 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
He was arrested alongside a 43-year-old woman on June 5 following a joint investigation by Notts Police and the North East Counter Terrorism Unit.
The woman has since been released without charge.
He will appear at the Old Bailey on July 18.
