Police have released this ‘crystal clear’ CCTV image of a man they want to question about a sex attack on a woman in Birmingham.
The 28-year-old victim was assaulted as she walked along Soho Road in Handswortharound 12.20am on Friday September 19.
Police have previously released pictures of a suspect, but now have these new images which are clearer.
As the woman walked into Alfred Road, a man came up to her and sexually assaulted her.
The alleged offender, who appeared to be drunk, was last seen running past the coach station in Alfred Road and turning back into Soho Road.
He is described as Asian, aged around 35 with black hair and beard, about 5ft 4ins tall and wearing a red and white checked long-sleeved shirt and grey hoody and jeans.
He was carrying a bag over his shoulder and a white plastic bag.
Det Con Natalie Adkins, from Birmingham’s Public Protection Unit, said: “Local enquiries are ongoing and we now have crystal clear images of the man we want to trace in connection with the assault.
“I’m hoping this will jog someone’s memory, although the attack took place in the early hours of the morning, the area is still a main road and I believe people may have been about.”
• Anyone with information should call police at Aston on 101.
