Nine UK Muslims, including four children, arrested by Turkish cops as they try to join the Islamic State

Islamic StateWill the bemused Mr. Cameron stop to ponder why what he is so very certain is a misunderstanding of Islam is so very widespread among “Britons”? Almost certainly not.
“Nine Britons including four children are arrested by Turkish police as they try to illegally enter Syria,” by Sara Malm, MailOnline, April 1, 2015
Nine British nationals have been arrested while trying to cross the border into Syria illegally, the Turkish Armed forces say.
Three men, two women and four children were detained by soldiers at a military outpost at Ogulpinar, Hatay province, Sky News reports.
The military says the group, all with British passports, have been taken into custody, but the statement did not specify when the arrests were made.
It has not yet been confirmed if the Britons were en-route to join the Islamic State, and the UK Foreign Office has said it is looking into the reports.
Thousands of foreigners have joined the ranks of Islamic State and other radical groups in Syria and Iraq, many of them crossing through Turkey.
The country has faced criticism for not better controlling its southeastern borders, and in turn has accused European countries of failing to prevent would-be jihadists from travelling in the first place….
Security services estimate 600 Britons have gone to Syria or Iraq to join militant groups.

UK teachers fear students will join Islamic State, but won’t tell police
