Reading terror pair appear at Old Bailey

A man from Newtown and a woman from Earley appeared at the Old Bailey on Friday, June 26 charged with terrorism offences.
Mohammed Rehman, 25, and Sana Ahmed Khan, 23, were arrested in Reading on Thursday, May 28, during a joint operation executed by West Midlands and South East Counter Terrorism Units.
The pair are charged with preparing for acts of terrorism in the UK and have been remanded in custody until a plea and case management hearing at the same court on Monday, October 26.
Neither of the couple have entered a plea.
Rehman, from Radstock Road, and Ahmed-Khan, from Hutton Close, are accused of downloading documents giving tips on how to plot an attack, and instructional videos on making explosives.
It is alleged they also bought chemicals with the intention of making homemade bombs and researched carrying out terror strikes.
