UK to take in Muslim refugees rejected by other European countries

Why are they resettling Syrian children from Europe? The Syrian children must be unwelcome in the countries they are in. Why is that? We have seen “children” who are far older than they are officially commit sex assaults and other crimes in Sweden, Germany and elsewhere. Surely the British authorities will vet these children and keep out fake children, won’t they? Given the high level of self-delusion and appeasement in the British government, that is unlikely.

Prime Minister David Cameron said Britain would resettle more Syrian children from Europe, amid mounting domestic pressure for him to do more to help young people fleeing the conflict.

Mr. Cameron, who has been facing a potential rebellion in Parliament next week from some in his Conservative Party, had previously focused mostly on taking vulnerable children directly from the Middle East and North Africa.

On Wednesday, the U.K. government said it would work with local authorities to resettle an unspecified number of unaccompanied children seeking asylum in Greece, Italy or France.

Only those registered before the migration agreement between Turkey and the European Union took effect March 20 would be eligible, the government said, to avoid creating incentives for Syrian families to send their children to Europe through human-traffickers.

Mr. Cameron has insisted that children who had reached European countries were safe, and that the U.K.’s focus should be on helping refugees nearer to the conflict areas, so as not to encourage them to attempt often perilous journeys to Europe.

“Otherwise our actions, however well-meaning they will be, could result in more people dying rather than more people getting a good life,” Mr. Cameron told Parliament….
