police too busy responding to offensive speech “crimes” online to tackle jihad threats

UK Police are too busy responding to trivial social media spats to tackle serious crime, the new head of the Police Federation has said, after years of forces encouraging “hate crime” reports for offensive comments. Officers on the street still have a “desperation to do the job and very often they can’t because their hands are tied.”
London mayor Sadiq Khan has been “setting aside millions of pounds” of taxpayer money for “an online hate crime hub.” Meanwhile, London has experienced an alarming surge in violent crime, and the public remains in danger from violent crime and jihad attacks.
Manchester police chief Umer Khan declared from 2016 that the “freedom of speech does not mean freedom of offending culture, religion or tradition.” In a free society, speech that offends someone is not actually prohibited — but not according to Umer Khan and Sadiq Khan. Yet they are not consistent: only 10 days before Manchester Arena jihadist Salman Abedi bought his ticket to the Ariana Grande concert, an imam at the bomber’s mosque “called for jihad,” but that is not the offensive speech to which Khan was referring. Abedi detonated a bomb, killing 22 innocent people.
Skyrocketing crime and the jihad doctrine matter little to UK police. This is what really matters to them: on a London police website, guidelines were provided that define “hate”:
“Hate Crime” is any criminal offence where anyone believes the victim has been targeted because of their race/ethnicity, religion/belief, gender/gender
identity, disability, age, sexual orientation or any other actual or perceived difference. “Hate incidents” are incidents that do not constitute a criminal offence but cause alarm, distress or harassment where anyone believes the victim has been targeted because of their race/ethnicity, religion/belief, gender/gender identity,
disability, age, sexual orientation.
Needless to say, this is easy for Islamic supremacists to manipulate, and they are well-known for doing so, aggressively pushing the “Islamophobia” canard.
The brazenness is alarming: in March, an Islamic State jihadist tried to create a “jihadist child army in East London,” and in August, a Manchester mosque sermon “called for armed jihad.” None of that was what the UK police are referring to as “hate.”
Not offending Islam remains the top priority of the British [sharia] police.
“Police ‘Too Busy With Online Spats for Serious Crime,’” by Liam Deacon, Breitbart, September 24, 2018:
UK Police are too busy responding to trivial social media spats to tackle serious crime, the new head of the Police Federation has said, after years of forces encouraging “hate crime” reports for offensive comments.
Officers on the street still have a “desperation to do the job and very often they can’t because their hands are tied,” according to chairman John Apter who represents 120,000 rank-and-file officers.
He argued that the focus on new types of crime, including cyber and “hate offences,” can come at the expense of traditional police work. Both need addressing, he said, but not one at the expense of the other.
Mr Apter told The Sunday Telegraph: “Where we get drawn into local disagreements, the argument over the remote control, the dispute in the playground, the row on Facebook, it is frustrating.
“I think police time can be better spent and it makes a mockery when we are so stretched. You can’t treat society like that and you can’t treat the police as political footballs.
“We need to have a sensible debate with politicians, with society and with the public about exactly what they want their police to do.
“People join the police to keep people safe and to lock up bad people, not to sort out petty squabbles over a remote control.”
Police forces have been actively encouraging people to report “hate crimes” in recent years…..
