YOUR NATIONAL LOTTERY MONEY – FUNDING ISLAM IN THE UK

One always thought gambling was prohibited by Islam, but seemingly it’s not prohibited to accept vast sums of money from the National Lottery.
We’ve just seen ticket prices double to £2, so it seems a good time to look at some of the ‘good causes’ to which your money has been going over the last few years.

£988,874 : The Muslim Council of Wales Charitable Foundation
£508,374 : The Kiran Project (to motivate Muslim women)
lottery_funded2_300x£337,130 : Faith Matters Community Interest (support victims of ‘Islamophobia’)
£300,000 : Parallax Independent (To produce a drama about a poor Muslim woman whose husband is imprisoned for terrorism after 9/11 – he’s innocent of course!)
£288,993 : Southwark Muslim Womens Association
£264,650 : Milan Centre (Providing creche facilities for Muslim children)
£221,459 : Muslim Women’s Youth, Sport and Education Forum
Those are just a selection – there are plenty more to choose from.
Always worth thinking about next time you think about buying a ticket.
